Spicy Lime Granita

Ingredients

  • 24 Heritage Half Shell Oyster, defrosted
  • 1/2 cup cucumber, peeled and seeded, diced into 1/2″ cubes
  • 1 tsp lime zest
  • 3 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped jalapeño, deseeded
  • Jalapeño slices, for decoration (optional

Instructions

Blend cucumbers, lime zest, lime juice, and chopped jalapeno until smooth. Pour into a small shallow container. Freeze for 6 hours+.

If desired, detach the oyster muscle from the shell. Use a fork to scrape the frozen granita into shavings. Place granita on defrosted Heritage Half Shell oysters immediately before serving.

Leftovers will keep for at least a month in the freezer (scraped or unscraped).
